Afternoon Delight is strong in all aspects of conformation, fiber, & personality. (She IS the sweetest thing!) Her fiber is fine & dense with a nice high-frequency crimp. Delight will make a good production female with potential for gray offspring, her sire being gray with blue & color champion ribbons as well as 1st place fleece & spinning awards to his name.
OCTOBER 2006 - Showing for the 1st time, Delight took the Blue Ribbon in the Bay Black Yearling female class then went on to receive the COLOR CHAMPION for the Black/Bay Black Female category (over well known and highly respected farms) at the 2006 Northern IL Alpaca Extravaganza. A few of the judge's comments were on the pleasure of opening her fleece to find the beautiful crimp style, softness, & consistency from front to back & topline through the belly. We couldn't be more thrilled for this classy girl!
Delight is due June 2008 and we are mighty excited to see this cria. Service sire is Splendour in Gray, aka "Siggy". Siggy, according to ARI records, is the only Silver Gray produced by the legendary Royal Fawn from over 300 sired.
